Before studying to be a osteopath at the University of Swansea I began my early career in engineering. After sustaining a low back injury and receiving successful treatment, for which I was both impressed by and eternally grateful for, I opted for a change of career to Osteopathy.

Whilst training I was amazed at the range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions that I saw and treated through the University clinics. This promoted my current interest in sports injuries. Working with individuals to overcome injury so that they can excel and achieve their potential is hugely rewarding. I am an Osteopath with Roadside Therapy. Offering expert treatment and advice to athletes worldwide taking part in events.

In addition to osteopathy I trained to do acupuncture under the British medical acupuncture society at Southmead hospital in Bristol. I feel that osteopathy and acupuncture work very well together as complimentary therapies.

Leisure time is important for us all so that we can sustain a balanced lifestyle. In my free time I enjoy surfing the Gower coastline, restoring classic Volkswagen camper vans and the martial art of wing-chun.

I have always had an interest in health care and how the human body works. Before training as an Osteopath I completed a degree in Human Biology. This gave me an excellent understanding of the human body. However this did not fulfill my desire to work with people within a primary care role. I decided to train as an Osteopath as I wanted to work with and help people. It appealed to me because of its hands on approach in optimising healing of the body without the need for surgical or pharmaceutical intervention. My training also included a diploma in Naturopathy which looks at natural healing and optimising health through life style factors. I very much enjoy practicing as an Osteopath and making a difference to people, and reflect this with my commitment towards them.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, painting, sculpting and playing netball. I see leisure time as an important part of my own life as well as those of the people I treat and vital in maintaining good health.
